- 6:30 PM REGULAR MEETING
Mayor Smith called the regular meeting of the Paris City Council to order at 6:30 P.M. City Attorney Rich Kash said the opening prayer. Present on roll call were Commissioners Branson, Faulk, Givens, Hughes and Mayor Smith. - The Pledge of Allegiance was repeated in unison.

- CONSENT AGENDA
Commissioner Hughes moved for approval of the Consent Agenda. Commissioner Faulk seconded the motion. Included on the consent agenda was the approval of the minutes of the December 14, 2009 regular meeting, bills paid previously $507,431.39, bills to be paid $279,580.74, salaries $261,527.79 and seven purchase orders. All answered aye on roll call, no nays. - ORDINANCES AND RESOLUTIONS
- COMMISSIONERS REPORTS
- Mayor Smith:
1. Motion to Approve ECHO Contribution. Mayor Smith moved to donate $5,000 to ECHO and review the City’s budget in the spring for further contributions. Commissioner Faulk seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call, no nays.
2. Information: Wine Tasting Fund Raiser, January 30, 2010 at the KC Hall, $15 per ticket for the Paul Warner Animal Rescue and Shelter Dogs. - Commissioner Branson:

1. Motion to Approve Pay Estimate to Curry Construction in the amount of $99,891.02 for the Water Project, Contract A. Commissioner Faulk moved to approve the payment, Commissioner Branson seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call, no nays. - Commissioner Givens:
1. Commissioner Givens reported that Fire Chief Gates is having issues with our current fire extinguisher company and recommends a new company. Commissioner Givens moved to approve, Commissioner Faulk seconded the motion. All answered aye on roll call, no nays. - Commissioner Hughes:
1. Information: Laker Stadium/Joes’s Pizza event on January 20th, 4-11pm, 10% of proceeds go to Laker Stadium. He noted that Laker Stadium is looking great and they are continuing to make improvements. Fence advertising is also still available. - TREASURER’S REPORT
Treasurer Dennis Thiel had nothing to report but noted the December Treasurer’s report would be coming soon.

Paul Ruff had nothing to report. - CITY ATTORNEY’S REPORT
