postheadericon Economic Development

Paris enjoys a steady growth in its light to medium industrial base. Some 25 manufacturing businesses are located here. Industrial employment exceeds 2,500 jobs. (Rail, full city utilities & fiber optic access are available).
Good work ethics, centrally-located with good transportation routes to major markets, and a strong pro-active local climate of economic development supports industrial members of the Paris community, not only for "home grown" or national manufacturers, but international corporations such as Boge North America (Germany); Syngenta Seeds Inc. (Dutch), ABITEC (British) and North American Lighting (Japan).

A diversified base of medium-size industries exists in the fields of turbine engine components, rubber and plastic injection molded products for the automotive, appliance, and container demand; plastic film for packaging products; solid oak furniture, milled corn products, windows, commercial food products, livestock equipment, and custom machine parts. With our 25-year history of economic success let us help you develop your new site for light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution.

There are some interesting sites available for future development with opportunities for facility expansion, relocation, and new facility construction. Many of these sites are zoned for industrial or commercial use. Most notably, lots are still available within industrial park locations on Illinois Route 1 South and Illinois Hwy. 133.

The Paris Economic Development Corporation (PEDCO) can assist potential owners and investors in determining the most appropriate space available.
