Union Street Park
Union Street Park is located in the 500 block on Union Street, on the north side of the street, comprising approximately 3 acres. Union Street Park was deeded to the City of Paris by Ruth Huston O’Hair, widow of Frank T. O’Hair, on February 12, 1942.
“The land is to be used as a public playground and/or park, provided however that when said premises cease to be used for such purposes or uses the title herein shall revert to the grantor or her heirs.”
Union Street Park was developed by the Paris Lion’s Club around 1969 and is an excellent park for the neighborhood area with a great potential for expansion.
The people of Paris and Edgar County are grateful to Ruth O’Hair for her generosity in providing this beautiful park.
