Telecommunicators should have the ability to exercise sound judgement, remain calm under pressure, make decisions without direct supervision, possess excellent verbal skills when dealing with the general public, be able to organize while handling multiple tasks, and convey proficient written skills.

Responsibilities include but not limited to :

*Answering emergent and non-emergent calls from the public, as well as 911, and dispatching those calls to the officers.

*Monitoring Paris Police Department and EMS radio channels.

*Entering and maintaining department dispatch logs, reports, citations, etc.
